Services

At Lebanon Community School Corporation, we provide our students and staff with nutritious meal options every day including milk, protein, fruits, vegetables, and grains. 

Children in households receiving SNAP or TANF benefits, foster children under the legal responsibility of a foster care agency or court, or in households with gross income within the limits on the Federal Income Chart may receive Educational Benefits, including free and reduced-price meals.

A full-time nurse is available at each school building. The role of the school nurse is to care for students who have been injured or become ill during the school day, as well as facilitate the care of students with acute or chronic health conditions.

LCSC works closely with school buildings, the Lebanon Police Department and area law enforcement agencies to protect our students, teachers, school leaders, and staff and to prevent emergencies before they arise. 

In order to support this priority, we have the following policies and procedures in place:

• An anonymous safety tip line
• A dedicated Lebanon Schools Police Department
• Guidelines and required forms to be completed by visitors, volunteers, and chaperones
• A task force (LCSC Security Advisory Team) charged with making updates and improvements to safety policy and procedures
• Community resources regarding emergency response, bullying, school safety, substance abuse, child abuse, and other pertinent information

Upon entering any building, visitors must report to the office, sign in using their driver's license and be issued a visitor’s badge. Please use only the front door, as all other doors will be locked. Please note that anyone wishing to enter the building during the school day must adhere to secured entrance procedures.

Support for Families Facing Housing Challenges

If your family is experiencing a temporary or uncertain housing situation, you may qualify for certain rights and protections under the federal McKinney-Vento Act. This includes support for school stability, transportation, and access to educational services. Our staff is here to help guide you through the process with care and confidentiality.

Before and After School Enrichment (B.A.S.E.)

We are proud to partner with Mental Health America of Boone County to offer the Before and After School Enrichment (B.A.S.E.) program. This program provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment for students outside of regular school hours.

Parents of Boone County school-year-aged children can pick up a week's worth of take-home breakfast and lunches for summer break, provided by The Shalom House. 

No application or registration is required. Bring photo ID or a proof of residency. 

Each bag contains: 

• five entrees 
• five snacks
• five fruits/vegetables 
• box of cereal
• milk voucher
• choice of book
